Barbora the, Freelance Writer from Prague welcomes you.
I am a freelance writer from Prague.
We can all make the world a little bit better by doing what we do best and remembering who we're doing it for. That's why I write for clients, readers, and people.
Thus, I do my share in making the world a better place, I write.
I write about the evil of social media and the dangers of our dopamine culture.
I write about the shrew in our heads that screams all those shoulds and musts, and cannots. And inspire you to tame her.
I write for women and mothers who struggle to get the lives and careers of their choice.
I write about our society, which seems to have taken a wrong turn at some point. And I write from the point of view of a Central European with a different historical experience than most of the guys here.
I write fiction and poetry because playing with words is my livelihood, passion, and life.
I have two kids (ages 6 and 3). I started a copywriting business three years ago after many years of a university career in history.
The freelance world gives me enough freedom not to miss the special moments with my kids. But it is challenging.
It has not always been a bed of orchids. As someone who overcame an anxiety disorder, I have had more than just a few bad moments in past years. And I cried and wanted to give up so many times.
As a mother, I feel like I should sacrifice my dreams and my ambitions and just strive to make the family happy.
I felt terrible finding a nanny to babysit my toddler for a few hours a week because the university offered me a chance to teach. We did not need the money; I could have stayed home. But I would not let the opportunity pass.
And I felt terrible for that.
Because a good mother, the perfect mother, stays home as long as she can, right?
Sounds familiar?

Help me build a community of like-minded people who want to live the life of their dreams. Who not only dream of it but go out and get it. Let us help everybody go out and get the life of their dreams.
Because you can have it, with or without kids, you don´t have to choose between a family and a career.
But you won´t do it while getting yourself tied to the screen. And you won´t raise happy children if you allow them to be glued to their screens. Help me spread that word, too.
